The active energy building is an apartment building designed by Falkeis2architects in Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein. The building’s architects designed it to tackle the effects of climate change by implementing low carbon technologies, curbing the use of fossil fuels and high-power usage. It is equipped with a unique solar system and energy storage technology on the rooftop to improve its energy generation capacity. The roof‘s south side is dedicated to the production of solar energy while the west and east sides are equipped with 'climate wings', an energy-generating technology that allows large amounts of energy to be stored when the wings are exposed to the sun.
