Main entrance

  • Door width 130 cm, after windbreaker further double swing door at 130 cm width
  • Automatic door opening
  • Visual contact with the porter’s lodge
  • Ramps into the foyer (ground floor level)

Side entrance / entrance to the barrier-free parking lot

Access to the barrier-free parking lot is via the side lane of Stubenring.
If required, a parking space must be booked at least two days in advance. For contact, see contact details on the right.

The premises

  • The elevators lead to all floors (door width 90 cm, cabin depth 160 cm, cabin width 110 cm)
  • All seminar and meeting rooms are barrier-free
  • Lecture room 1 has equipment suitable for hearing impaired persons

Assembly point in case of fire

In case of fire there are assembly points on each floor.
These are in the stairwell of staircase 2 (next to MAK /Museum of Modern Art). On each floor there is a push-button alarm (green box). Pressing the button will send an alarm to the fire brigade to inform them about persons to be evacuated.


Cafeteria

The cafeteria is on the ground floor and barrier-free.


Guide and assistance dogs

  • Guide and support dogs are permitted – provided they are listed in the certificate of disability – and may be taken into seminar and exhibition rooms (please inform the porter’s lodge or the DAS accordingly).
  • The relevant legal requirements are to be observed. These state that dogs have to wear a muzzle, must be on a leash, and need to be supervised. Also, any soiling caused by dogs must be removed by the owners themselves. This also applies to the outer patio of VZA7 and the garden at OKP.


Interpreter for hearing impaired persons / supporting technical equipment

  • If required, an interpreter for hearing impaired people will be arranged for. Please contact us at least 3 weeks in advance of the event. Please see the contact details on the right to inform us.
  • An inductive hearing system is installed in lecture hall 1 (OKP). The transmission is activated via the "T" setting on the hearing aid. The system complies with ÖVE EN60118-4.

  • Supported door opening
  • Two-way intercom at the main gate connecting to the porter’s lodge
  • Elevator to the foyer (door width 90 cm, cabin depth 140 cm, cabin width 100 cm)


Side entrance / entrance to the barrier-free parking lot

You can reach the side entrance and the entrance to the barrier-free parking lot via the driveway to the left of the main entrance.
If required, a parking space must be booked at least two days in advance. For contact, see contact details on the right.

  • Elevator to the foyer (door width 200 cm, cabin depth 450 cm, cabin width 200 cm)

The premises

  • The elevators lead to all floors (door width 90 cm, cabin depth 210 cm, cabin width 100 cm)
  • All seminar and meeting rooms are barrier-free
  • If required, both Auditorium and Atrium can be set up with a ramp (width 2 m) leading to the stage.
  • The Auditorium has an infrared audio enhancer system for at least 12 receivers
  • Bar tables, adjustable in height, are available for events as well
  • The University Library has barrier-free access (door width 98 cm …)
