COVID-19

University life during the 2020/21 winter semester

As the winter semester begins, Angewandte is looking to provide the best possible combination of safety and openness in everyday university life for all students, employees and visitors.
In this spirit, all measures are aimed at upholding in-person teaching as well as onsite research activities to the greatest possible extent while at the same time keeping the risk of infection at Angewandte as low as possible.
Special attention is being paid here to artistic and practical teaching, since doing these remotely would entail especially severe limitations.

With reference to the COVID-19 traffic light system developed by the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care, and Consumer Protection, four operating scenarios have been developed for Angewandte.

In implementing these, Angewandte refers to the traffic light status for Vienna announced every Friday by the Ministry, with the colours green, yellow, orange, and red denoting four levels of protective measures at the University.

In the general areas of the University-foyers, corridors, stairwells, lifts-it is obligatory to wear mouth and nose protection.
