OPEN CALL: TRY OUT! & ARTIST IN RESIDENCE

This Open Call is directed towards professional artists of all ages from all fields – dance,
performance, music and visual arts with diverse backgrounds, education and experience.
Specifically, we are looking
for contemporary project ideas either highly physical and
sound/music based or object/material focused approaches for
a specific age group between
3 and 16 years. Wild, subversive, anarchistic interdisciplinary projects – applied, fine
and
performance art – wanted!
DEADLINE: Sunday, 13th of October 2019
Submission of concepts (max. 2 A4 pages) and CV via mail to dramaturgie@dschungelwien.at
TRY OUT!:
Showing on Saturday, 18th of January 2020
Out of all submitted concepts eight to ten artists or companies will
be invited to present a
working sample of 8-10 minutes to an audience at TRY OUT!. Three of them will get the
opportunity
to further develop their project accompanied by dramaturgy coaching and
rehearsal audience as well as a small financial
support for costumes/material in the
rehearsal studios of Dschungel Wien.
FINALE: May 2020
Presentation of the short pieces to a jury. The selected project will lead to a feature-length
coproduction at Dschungel
Wien with a premiere in the following season
