Climate
Change and Cultural Heritage Protection
21. July 2021
This summer,
the Institute of Conservation at Angewandte together with three other European universities joined forces in an Erasmus+ Strategic
Partnership (CHePiCC online); the aim is to translate the state-of-art research on climate change and cultural heritage protection
into distance and blended learning programmes to provide capacity building for teachers and learners.
The
necessary holistic approach to this wide topic is ensured by the transdisciplinary composition of the partnership and the
consideration of various European climate zones and different approaches followed by individual European countries.
A
massive open online course and a concept for a hybrid summer university on the protection of cultural landscapes are projected
outcomes of the two year project; both could be valuable additional study offers for Angewandte students in the future.
