conference website. The 2nd International Conference “Smart Ideas and a New Concept of Economic Regeneration in Europe”
– SINCERE will take place in Dubrovnik, Croatia from 25th to 27th October 2018.
The topic of the 2nd SINCERE
conference is “Socio-economic effects of digital transformation”. It aims to address the digital transformation of
European economies. The world we live in is increasingly becoming digitalized. New technologies are changing our societies,
culture and everyday life. Above all, they revolutionize the way our economies work. Products and services of tomorrow will
be digital and huge growth potential is embodied in them. The path to exploit this potential starts today and requires reinvention
of economic policy we knew.
By bringing together distinguished academics, policy makers and researchers from several
European countries, the Conference will provide novel research findings on the socio-economic effects of digital transformation
and the most recent policy experiences. It will assess the potential for a new wave of industrial development in these countries
and facilitate the transfer of knowledge between more advanced countries in this process and their counterparts that are lagging
behind.
