Attending individual courses
You can attend individual courses and take exams in the course of a Co-registration (if you are regular student at an other
Austrian university) or by starting a non-regular programme.
MORE Initiative for refugees
The University of Applied Arts Vienna is participating in the MORE-initiative of the Austrian universities, in order to help
refugees gain access to higher education. MORE students have the possibility to attend individual courses and examinations.

Registration for Courses/Exams
After admission courses can be visited and exams can be taken.
German languageKnowledge of the German language is not a precondition for admission, but it should be pointed out that usually teaching is
held in German. For this reason students should gain knowledge of German up to the end of the second semester.Courses in German language are offered - for example - by the University of Vienna.
VisaApplicants from abroad who need visa to enter Austria should send a postal motivation letter directly from their home-country

e-mail adress should be quoted; please note that the letter needs to be signed and it is required to attach a copy of the
passport. Moreover, it must arrive at the Office for Student and Academic Affairs at least 4 weeks before the respective entrance
exam.The Office of Student and Academic Affairs will then return a decree of provisory admission (invitation letter) so that you
can apply for a student’s visa.Documents: Legalisation and translationDepending on the country in which the documents have been issued, each document needs to be legalised. Certifications in foreign
languages have to be accompanied by german translations with public certification.Proofsfor Doctoral Programmes:Additional to the requirements specified under admission, a letter from a university from the country of issue of the applicant
