Masayo Ave is the founder of Haptic Interface Design Institute in Berlin and professor and head of product design department
in Estonian Academy of Arts since 2007. "MAKE-DO your favourite story HAPTIC, Vienna 2008" is the first Haptic Interface Design
workshop in Vienna, directed by Japanese architect and designer Masayo Ave, the founder of Haptic interface design institute.
The most beloved stories for the children are carefully chosen by Masayo Ave as the subjects to work in this workshop and
the Haptic field research and material experiments will be practiced to realize "Haptic book cover" - the sensitive top surface
for the book, which directly appeals the beloved story to the hands of readers through its best tactile quality.
This Workshop is open to all students of University of Applied Arts Vienna. (12 participants possible. First come-first served)
On 20 November 2008, the books in the new "Haptic book covers" will be presented with the workshop documentation as an exhibition
"MAKE-DO your favourite story HAPTIC" at Seminarraum A/B Dachgeschoß.
