Popadic, Art & Science Alumni und Doktorand an der Angewandten, gewinnt mit seinem Kunstwerk "Knocking. Act II" in der
Kategorie "Sculpture and Installation" den Mediterranean Contemporary Art Prize. Die Angewandte gratuliert herzlich!
The inaugural Biennale "Mediterranean Contemporary Art Prize", in the frame of "Matera - European Capital of
Culture 2019", took place from 18.07. - 28.07.2019. in the breathtaking medieval castle "Lagopesole" in Basilicata Region
- Southern Italy. 73 artists from 26 countries were selected to present their works at this prestigious event, divided into
5 categories.
As the only representative of Austria, Art&Science alumni and PhD student Nemanja Popadic competed
in the cathegory "Sculpture and Installation", where his artwork "Knocking. Act II" was awarded the First Prize and a Golden
medal."
