zwei halbbeschäftigte/n Universitätsassistenten/innen
(je 20 Wochenstunden, befristet auf 5 Jahre) für den Bereich Architekturentwurf 1 unter der Leitung von Cristina Díaz Moreno
und Efrén García Grinda.
Anstellungserfordernisse:- abgeschlossenes Studium der Architektur
- hervorragende Sprachkenntnisse in Englisch
Anforderungsprofil:- Didaktische Fähigkeiten
in der Vermittlung von theoretischen Grundlagen des Architekturentwurfs
- Pädagogische Fähigkeiten und Erfahrung bei
der Vermittlung im Rahmen der universitären Lehre
- Internationale Erfahrung in Studium und Berufspraxis
- Hervorragende
Kenntnisse aktueller Fragen der Gegenwartsarchitektur und urbaner Strategien
- Selbstständige Arbeiten auf den Gebieten
der Architektur und Architekturtheorie
- Expertise in und Interesse an zukunftsorientierter und richtungsweisender Weiterentwicklung
von gebauter Architektur und Stadtplanung, basierend auf den großen sozialen, politischen, demografischen und technologischen
Herausforderungen im Umgang mit dem urbanen Raum
- Knowhow im Bereich von Fertigungstechnologien (CNC, 3D-Plotter, Laser
Cutter) und Modellbau
- Engagement im administrativen und organisatorischen Bereich
Das monatliche Mindestentgelt
je Stelle für diese Verwendung beträgt derzeit € 1.432,25 brutto (14x jährlich) und kann sich eventuell auf Basis der kollektivvertraglichen
Vorschriften durch die Anrechnung tätigkeitsspezifischer Vorerfahrungen erhöhen.

The University of Applied Arts Vienna is looking for
two
half-time University Assistants (20 hours a week, limited for 5 years), starting on October 1st, 2019 in the field
of Architectural Design 1 (led by Univ.-Prof Cristina Díaz Moreno and Univ. Prof. Efrén García Grinda).
From winter
semester 2019/20 on Christina Díaz Moreno and Efrén García Grinda (amid.cero9) are heading one of the three architecture studios
at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Their mission statement is as follows:
“We do believe that contemporary urban
challenges related with structural urban deficits, migratory fluxes, the technological shift, precarious inhabitation, and
spatial exclusion are demanding a change of paradigm on architectural design practices, that could break the separation of
our discipline and connect us back with societal problems and realities. We see this moment as a fantastical opportunity for
reinvention and we would like to expand the already astonishing legacy of the Studio 1 and to contribute to shape the future
of the IoA through intellectual and practical experiments on spatial practices in the search of socially and culturally engaged
fields of work for architecture.“
Employment requirements:- Degree in architecture

Excellent English language skills
Applicants should have:- Didactic skills in conveying
fundaments of architectural design
- Pedagogic competence and experience in the fields of academic teaching
- Professional
experience at an internationally recognized design practice
- Excellent understanding of contemporary architectural discourse
and urban strategies
- Interest in a future-oriented, trend-setting further development of built architecture and
urban planning, based on an awareness of the great social, political, demographic and
technological
challenges facing urban spaces
- Personal portfolio of outstanding practical work
- Advanced skills in model-making
and digital fabrication (CNC, 3-D-Plotting, Laser Cutter)
- Commitment in administrative and organizational matters
The monthly minimum wage for this position is currently € 1,432.25 gross (14 times a year) and may be increased on
the basis of collectively agreed provisions through the crediting of activity-specific prior experience, as well as other
fee components related to the specifity of the workplace.
