An event organised
by TransArts - Transdisciplinary Art
Anja Salomonowitz gives an introduction to making a hybrid documentary
film. From concept, script writing to casting and dramaturgy, the necessary tools of these films are introduced and explained
using scene examples from her films. Hypothetically it is assumed that the participants want to realize such a film. Soon.

Anja Salomonowitz
developed a film language for her films that mixes documentary, feature film and thesis. Real human experiences are condensed
through artistic alienation. Her films have received international recognition and numerous film awards and have been included
in the literature on documentary film.
Anja Salomonowitz studied film in Vienna and Berlin. She holds master
classes on artistic documentary film at universities (including the Aalto University in Helsinki, Department for Film and
Television) or film festivals (e.g. tutor at the Documentary Academy at the Jihlava International Film Festival). Her hybrid
documentaries each follow a strict colour concept. She is known for the fact that her films are explicitly political and expand
the boundaries and possibilities of the documentary in their artistic form.
