Die Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien sucht mit Start ab September 2021 eine*n teilbeschäftigte*n Universitätsassistent*in (m/w/d, 25 Wochenstunden, 1 Jahr befristet, Karenzvertretung) für Cross-Disciplinary Strategies - Applied Studies in Art, Science, Philosophy and Global Challenges.

Seit dem Wintersemester 2017 besteht am Institut für Kunst und Gesellschaft das englischsprachige Bachelorstudium Cross-Disciplinary Strategies. Applied Studies in Art, Science, Philosophy and Global Challenges. Der Master startet mit Wintersemester 2021.
Cross-Disciplinary Strategies (CDS) ermöglicht die Bearbeitung aktueller gesellschaftlicher Herausforderungen in einem multidisziplinären Studienprogramm, das Herangehensweisen und Methoden aus der Kunst, den Geisteswissenschaften, wie auch den Sozial- und Naturwissenschaften verbindet. Der Studiengang reagiert damit auf die zunehmende Fragmentierung akademischer Disziplinen, um den Herausforderungen des 21. Jahrhunderts begegnen zu können. Künstlerische Strategien und Zugänge zu Kunst stehen als verbindendes Element im Mittelpunkt des Studiums.

 
Qualifikationsprofil:

• Abgeschlossenes Studium mit fächerübergreifender Erfahrung oder Ausbildung
• Hohe Bereitschaft zum grenzüberschreitenden Arbeiten im Team
• Kenntnis des Kunstbetriebes sowie einschlägige Erfahrung
• Überdurchschnittliches planerisches und organisatorisches Geschick: Erfahrungen in der Konzeption und Abwicklung künstlerischer/wissenschaftlicher Projekte (Konzeption, Budgetierung, Abwicklung, Abrechnung)
• Nachgewiesene Koordinations- und Teamfähigkeit
• Gute Kommunikationsfähigkeit: Kommunikationserfahrung mit Künstler/innen, Kooperationspartner/innen und Institutionen
• Belastbarkeit, Flexibilität, hohes Engagement und Motivation, proaktives und selbständiges Arbeiten
• sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift

 
Aufgabenbereich:

• Koordinierungs- und Organisationstätigkeit
• Betreuung der Studierenden bei der Planung und Umsetzung künstlerischer und wissenschaftlicher Projekte
• Betreuung der Lehrenden und damit verbundene administrative Tätigkeiten
• Unterstützung der Abteilungsleitung
• Mitwirkung Projektentwicklung, Produktion
• Wahrnehmung von Lehraufgaben und Mitwirkung Lehre
• Publikations- und Kommunikationsaufgaben, Social Media

Das monatliche Mindestentgelt für diese Verwendung beträgt laut Kollektivvertrag derzeit € 1.857,19 brutto monatlich (14x jährlich) und kann sich eventuell auf Basis der kollektivvertraglichen Vorschriften durch die Anrechnung tätigkeitsspezifischer Vorerfahrungen erhöhen.

The University of Applied Arts Vienna is looking for a part-time University Assistant (m/f/d, 25 hours per week, temporary for 1 year, replacement position) for Cross-Disciplinary Strategies – Applied Studies in Art, Science, Philosophy and Global Challenges, to start in September 2021.
 
The English language bachelor’s programme Cross-Disciplinary Strategies. Applied Studies in Art, Science, Philosophy and Global Challenges has been offered at the Institute for Art and Society since the winter semester 2017. The Master’s programme is to start in the winter semester 2021.
Cross-Disciplinary Strategies (CDS) provides the opportunity to work on current societal challenges in a multidisciplinary degree programme, linking the approaches and methodologies of art, the humanities and social and natural sciences. In this sense, the programme is a reaction to the increasing fragmentation of academic disciplines, aiming to face up to 21^st century challenges. Artistic strategies and approaches to art are at the centre of the programme as a unifying element.

 
Qualification profile:

• Completed studies with interdisciplinary experience or training.
• High willingness to work in a team across disciplines
• Knowledge of the art business and relevant experience
• Above-average planning and organisational skills: experience in the conception and handling of artistic/scientific projects (concept, budgeting, handling, accounting)
• Proven coordination and teamwork skills
• Good communication skills: experience in communicating with artists, cooperation partners and institutions
• Ability to work under pressure, flexibility, high level of commitment and motivation, proactive and independent working style
• Very good command of written and spoken English

 
Scope of duties:

• Coordination and organisational work
• Supervision of students in the planning and implementation of artistic and academic projects
• Support for teaching staff and related administrative tasks
• Support of the department management
• Contribution to project development, production
• Performance of teaching tasks and participation in teaching
• Publication and communication tasks, social media

The minimum monthly remuneration for this position according to the collective agreement is currently € 1,857.19 gross per month (14x per year). This sum may be increased on the basis of the collective agreement regulations by crediting previous experience relevant to the position.
