Mg. art. Indra Saulesleja is a highly qualified textile conservator who works in the National History Museum of Latvia
since 1983 and also in the Latvian War Museum since 2011. As a textile conservator I. Saulesleja has great experience with
archaeological and etnographical textile artefacts.
Indra Saulesleja is currently
working with historical textiles from the collection of the Latvian War Museum (uniforms, flags etc.). She is also a lecturer
in the Art Academy of Latvia since 2019.
I. Saulesleja also regularly participates in conferences, exhibitions and workshops.
She also organised the 10th Baltic States Restorers’ Triennial (2014) and the 30th Anniversary Exhibition and Conference
of the Latvian Society of Restorers – “From the Past to the Future. Conservator’s Workshop” (2019). Since 2015 a board member
of Restorers Society of Latvia.
