Transmedia Art employs chemical and physical systems (colour and light) such as photography, film, video, numerical and linguistic systems, digital cameras, text, language, colour diagrams, temporal and spatial concepts, and perceptual patterns. It works with mathematical, physical, psychological, neurological and other (natural) scientific models, in order to support, enrich and experimentally implement the formal realisation of related ideas.
Transmedia Art also extends to the social field. Within an artistic context, a renewed and clearly defined interest in socio-political and socio-cultural themes has been evident for some time and has also achieved a profile through the critical analysis of this environment. Above all, this relates to the interest in the interference and interactions between corporeal, spatial and temporal concepts, particularly in public and architectonic spaces.
It is therefore important that operative targets and signs can be established in this field. Spaces or the urban environment are to be regarded as a laboratory. Analyses and test classifications are to be created and as an initial project, for a limited period of time, the University of Applied Arts is to be presented as a striking symbol and inter-medial interface.
