Qualitative Student Feedback

Toward the end of the course, the participating students receive from the teacher a sheet of paper with open questions:

  • What was helpful, beneficial, "what did I like"?
  • What have I missed?
  • What do I take with me?

Students formulate answers to these questions in writing, everyone for herself/himself, the sheets remain anonymous and are being collected. Afterward, the teacher transfers all answers to a new sheet, and raises the following questions:

  • Where am I confirmed, what should I retain?
  • What should be done differently, should be developed further, and how?
  • What am I particularly pleased about?

The teacher compares her/his own answers with the answers of the students and makes the overall results available to the students. If necessary, this may be linked to a conversation and discussion.
